Review: Best TV 55 Inch 4K Smart TV LG In 2023

No space for a 65- or 75-inch television? Still, you can get a 55-inch TV with most of the same features for less money.

I think bigger is better when it comes to TVs, but not everyone has room for a great 75-inch TV. A 55-inch TV is a good choice for small or medium rooms because it is a good size and not too expensive. Cost per inch will tell you which 55-inch TV is best for you, since bigger sets tend to be much more expensive.

Most modern 55-inch TVs have a lot of features and are smart TVs, which means you can stream your favorite shows and movies from Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, Disney Plus, and other services. Higher-end models have all the bells and whistles we’ve come to expect, like full-array local dimming, OLED screens, 120Hz refresh rate, 4K UHD resolution, high dynamic range, a lot of HDMI ports, and even high-end gaming features, like variable refresh rate, to go with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. Some of our favorite 55-inch TVs right now are on the list below.

1. LG OLED C2

In the last few years, LG’s “C” series of OLED TVs have become my favorite high-end TVs for the money, and the C2 is the latest example. The picture quality on the C2 is much better than any non-OLED TV I’ve seen. It also comes in more sizes than ever, including a new 42-inch option, and the price isn’t too high.
But this year, the competition for OLED TVs is tougher than ever. Samsung, LG’s biggest rival, also makes an OLED TV, and its all-new QD-OLED panel promises better color. Sony has two types of OLED, including its own QD-OLED, which looks pretty cool in person. And in 2022, more TV makers will sell mini-LED models, which promise better image quality for much less money than OLED.

Even though it’s great, the C2 isn’t a big step up from earlier models. When I put the C2 and last year’s LG C1 OLED TV next to each other, they looked very similar. This was true even though the C2 has a new “Evo” panel, which is one of LG’s 2022 upgrades.

I haven’t looked at any other 2022 OLED TVs yet, but based on what I’ve seen so far, I doubt they’ll be much better than the C2. The C2 is also cheaper than models like the LG G2 and those QD-OLED TVs, and it comes in more sizes. It also does a better job than QLED TVs like the Samsung QN90B and TCL 6-Series. So, I think the LG C2 is 2022’s best high-end TV for the money.

2. LG OLED55A2

LG’s entry-level OLED TV is the A2 line, but don’t let that put you off. As usual, LG gives a lot of features, and the A2 has a great OLED screen with great picture quality for the price. The screen is the biggest difference between the A2 and the C2 and other LG flagship phones.

While the other phones have the LG OLED Evo panel, which makes the screen much brighter (OLEDs are always Kryptonite), the A2 has an OLED panel that is a little bit older. This still means that the blacks and contrast are very good, so don’t dismiss it. The colors are bright and clean, giving you a lot of visual bang for your buck. Also, the LG A7 Gen 5 AI Processor in 2021 is very good, so you can get great upscaling and dynamic tone mapping.

The A2 looks pretty sleek, and like the rest of the line, it comes with a Magic Remote that lets you use LG’s great WebOS software. When it comes to streaming, this has all of the usual suspects. Also, Alexa and Google Assistant are available, and if you want to stream from an Apple device, you can use AirPlay 2 on the A2.

If you want to plug in a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, that’s a big con. The A2 doesn’t have HDMI 2.1, so you can’t play at 120fps or use the VRR and ALLM technology that makes the C2 so good for low-lag gaming. But if all you want to do is watch Blu-rays and stream in HD, the LG A2 is a great OLED TV with a great budget price. You may also want to buy a soundbar if you want to get the most out of Dolby Atmos.

3. LG OLED55G2

When we tested the LG G2 OLED, we found that it had a lot of pleasant surprises. When you take the G2 out of the box, you’ll notice that it’s better than the ones that came before. It has a silver metallic finish that makes it look cool and rich.

Along with LG’s latest Evo OLED panel, which makes the screen brighter, you’ll find a new heat sink that will help the TV meet LG’s new OLED brightness standards.

The LG G2 OLED also has a new processor that lets this new breed of OLEDs show off all of their features. LG’s webOS smart platform also gets a lot of new features instead of the usual small changes. Even the sound on the G2 OLED fixes a couple of big problems that were in earlier models. This is a pleasant surprise.

We were most surprised by how the G2’s extra brightness made almost every frame from any source look even better than it had on any LG OLED before.

The LG C2 OLED is less expensive than the LG G2, but the G2 has a number of interesting improvements over older LG models. It’s a strong competitor to the Sony A95K QD-OLED TV and the Samsung S95B range, which are also on the list.

4. Tivi LG 55″ UHD 4K 55UN7190PTA

When you talk about the best LG 55-inch TVs to buy, you can’t leave out the LG 55-inch UHD 4K 55UN7190PTA TV. With a resolution of up to 4K, the product can make images that are 4 times clearer than Full HD resolution. This Smart TV promises to meet all of your entertainment needs with realism and sharpness down to the smallest details.

The answer to the above advantages is that it has a 4K quad-core processor that creates a sense of high quality when all frames are effectively denoised and optimized for brightness and contrast of the image. With the help of the WebOS 5.0 operating system, it also has an easy-to-use interface that makes it easy to control and access large entertainment stores like Netflix and YouTube.

With HDR technology and an upgrade to a wider viewing angle, the 55-inch LG 4K 55UN7190PTA Smart TV lets you see every detail of your favorite games and movies, no matter where you sit. Not only that, but the screen is what shows the ideal games, making it feel so real it’s hard to believe.

Conclusion

Television can be watched at any time, and it has both practical and spiritual value in the lives of many families today. The reviews of these LG 55-inch TVs are honest, so you should be able to use them to help you choose a TV for your family.
