And our own tests show that this is true.
The Bravia XR A95K has dazzling colors and brightness. Unexpected but really useful smart features change everything from how you interact with the screen to how you change the picture to what you do if you lose your remote control. The most important thing about this Sony OLED TV is that no matter what you watch on it, it looks and sounds like a dream. This makes everything you watch and listen to on it a transcendent experience.
The A95K isn’t one of the best TVs you can buy, so that’s not the question. It depends on if it’s the best TV you can buy. What do we think? Yes, it’s true.
2. LG C2 OLED
The LG C2 OLED is the best TV with a screen size of 65 inches. Not only does it have the best OLED TV screen, but it also has a high-end design, a lot of different ways to use it, and a great smart TV platform.
The panel itself is so thin that it can’t be real. The top half of the TV is only 0.1 inches thick. Even though the compartment for the parts sticks out on the bottom half of the back chassis, the whole thing is still very sleek.
We can’t say that the LG C2 OLED TV did much better in our tests than last year’s C1 OLED (which was lower on the list), but there wasn’t much room for improvement. Instead, this TV is one of the best of the year because it has a great picture for how much it costs.
3. TCL 6-Series Roku TV (R635)
When it comes to value, the TCL 6-Series Roku TV is hard to beat (R635). The 65-inch model of the TCL costs only $899, but it has a lot of features that are on par with those of much more expensive TVs. During our tests, we noticed how good the display looks thanks to QLED, which improves color and brightness, and how the mini-LED backlight gives the best contrast and HDR performance we’ve seen on an LCD-based display.
TCL also adds features that gamers will like, such as THX Certified Game Mode, which makes it one of the best TVs for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. When you add in smart design features like built-in cable management and the great Roku TV platform, the TCL 6-Series R635 is the best 65-inch TV for the money.
4. Samsung QN95B Neo QLED TV
With the Samsung QN95B Neo QLED TV, Samsung proves once again why it is the king of QLED TVs. The QN95B is a hard TV to beat because it has the best brightness in its class, easy cable management, and great performance across most types of content.
At a time when OLED TVs get most of the attention, Samsung’s high-end Neo QLED stands out in a big way: how bright it is. By adding a Mini LED backlight, the panel can reach a higher level of brightness without losing depth or light levels. Samsung combines the great picture quality with a lot of smart TV functions and really smart features, like a solar-powered remote control that doesn’t need batteries and makes it easier than ever to use. This is both good for the environment and very convenient.
Everything fits into a beautiful design that is only 1 inch thick and has a huge number of smart features, powerful Dolby Atmos sound, and some of the best performance we’ve ever seen. HDMI 2.1 connectivity is built in, and it’s a great choice for gamers because it has a lot of gaming-specific features and a lag time of only 9.8 milliseconds in our tests.
5. LG G2 OLED
The 2022 version of LG’s high-end G-series OLED TVs is here, and it’s better than most of the other 65-inch TVs on this list. The LG G2 OLED is a step up in screen technology from last year’s G1. It is better in almost every way. Brightness has been an issue with OLED screens for a long time, but in our tests, the LG G2 reached 590.54 nits, which is a lot more than the G1’s 412.05 nits. And its brightness isn’t the only thing that impressed us about its performance. Color accuracy, color gamut, and lag times also did well in our tests. You also get the deep blacks that we have come to expect from OLED.
Even though it’s not 85 inches like the rest of our entries, this 83-inch TV is also a sight to behold. It has a simple silver frame that makes it look like it has almost no bezels. It also has a lot of ports, sounds better than almost any OLED we’ve ever heard, and has a full-featured smart TV platform that should be good enough for most homes, even if it’s not the best. We’re currently testing the LG C2, which may end up being a better buy for most people, but until then, this is the best OLED TV you can buy.
